IT Operations Specialist

The Team & Role

The Desktop Specialist will support the IT organization in delivering a world-class customer experience for our internal users. You will be the eyes and ears of the organization, providing end-users with the support required to achieve their goals and solving problems no matter the complexity. You will also help develop important performance metrics to ensure we scale, improve consistency in processes, and enhance overall user experience. You will report to our Senior Director, Security Compliance & Risk.

What You'll Do

Onboarding and Offboarding

  • Design and lead our technology onboarding process for new staters (employees and contractors) to the company ensuring new starters have what they need to be successful
  • Design and lead the technology offboarding process ensuring assets are returned and access is appropriately revoked
  • Design and build our birthright process (Role Based Access Controls – RBAC) – helping new starters gain access to systems they require on the first day whilst adopting least privilege principle
  • Lead the supply chain for our IT assets (hardware and software) working with partners such as Apple, B&H, CDW, Microsoft and Amazon to ensure we have inventory
  • Manage our IT assets across the organization using Snipe-IT and ensuring accurate reporting and data

IT Support

  • Lead the evaluation and resolution of general IT support tickets, access management and problem escalation
  • Build and maintain self-help portal and FAQ designed to reduce IT touch points and make it easier for end-users to help themselves
  • Implement our roadmap to automate level 1 support using AI/ML tooling – for 200+ employees across three (3) main timezones
  • Partner with technical and non-technical teams to increase efficiency by developing practical IT solutions to achieve business goals

Data and Metrics

  • Develop and maintain IT operational metrics to measure and report on performance of team
  • Support the Information Security Office in building and maintaining key performance metrics

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, IT or related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in an IT focused role
  • Experience in a desktop support environment with functional SaaS platform implementation and support covering Business Systems including HR, Expense Management, Financials and other office applications (i.e. Adobe, DocuSign etc.)
  • Experience with Kadji, JAMF and other MDM solutions
  • Experience with a broad set of technologies for troubleshooting
  • Experience with bash scripting, python, APIs
  • Experience with Mac OS and iOS
  • Okta advanced workflows experience
