Welcome to Family Meal, our blog series spotlighting our incredible Roomies. This month, we’re excited to feature Alexa Alvestir, a Singapore-based Account Executive working closely with some of our notable clients in the APAC region.
Alexa: Hi everyone, I'm Alexa. I'm an Account Executive based in Singapore. I started working at SevenRooms in April 2022. Before working at SevenRooms, I was with American Express for three years as a Centurion Travel and Lifestyle Consultant.
Alexa: As a foodie, I love that my job allows me to connect with the amazing people behind all these incredible restaurants in Singapore and across Asia. Additionally, I love the sense of family we have at SevenRooms – it is so special. Learning about each other's cultures creates a really fun and inclusive work environment.
Alexa: On our Singapore team, I’m known as the organizer who brings people together. As our team grows, I focus on "Making Room For All" by ensuring everyone, especially new Roomies, feels included. I love setting up time for us to get to know each other and share ideas, which helps bring us closer as a team.
Alexa: I’m proud of how much I’ve grown since joining. This is my first full sales role, and I was given a great opportunity to prove myself. Looking back, I see that I’m a much stronger version of myself now, equipped with skills that have taken me to the next level in my career.
Alexa: As a Filipino living in Singapore, it’s been my personal goal to grow our presence in the Philippines. I’m passionate about showcasing how SevenRooms can help local restaurants thrive. It’s exciting to know that our tools can make a real difference for Filipino businesses.
Alexa: For our anniversary, my husband and I dined at JAAN By Kirk Westaway, a two-Michelin-starred restaurant. Chef Kurt himself came out to greet us during our dinner, which was such a memorable experience. Plus, the restaurant is a SevenRooms client! It’s those personal touches that make dining experiences unforgettable.
Alexa: I’m a big sports fan! I follow F1 (Forza Ferrari!) and the Premier League (COYG), so my weekends are packed with sports. I’m part of some local fan clubs and I listen to podcasts to stay in the loop. It all started when I caught a Monza race on TV —and the rest is history!
