Harrods Selects SevenRooms to Power In-Store Dining Experiences

The world-renowned department store partners with guest engagement and retention platform to enhance its retail F&B experience

LONDON (29 November 2021) —SevenRooms, a guest engagement and retention platform for the hospitality industry, today announced its partnership with Harrods, one of the world’s most celebrated department stores. 14 of Harrods exceptional restaurants, bars and cafes within its Knightsbridge store are now using SevenRooms to elevate its reservation and guest experience. Available to book via SevenRooms are Harrods’ portfolio of high-profile Michelin-starred Chefs including Harrods Social by Jason Atherton, Tom Kerridge’s Kerridge’s Fish & Chips, Kama by Vineet Bhatia and Gordon Ramsay Burger. Customers can also book celebratory drinks at the Baccarat Bar, which won Imbibe’s Best Themed Drinks List in December 2020, in addition to several other well-regarded restaurants and bars.

SevenRooms is the only end-to-end hospitality technology platform purpose-built to help operators acquire, engage, and retain more guests. It combines data, personalisation, and automation into one platform — helping operators to create exceptional experiences that boost profitability and drive repeat business. For today’s consumers, experience is everything, and data has become the key to unlocking loyalty. Leveraging SevenRooms, Harrods is able to use this same approved data to more deeply understand their dining customers and create personalized experiences that keep them coming back.

Ashley Saxton, Head of Restaurants at Harrods, says: “After many months of restaurant closures, and in a world where e-commerce is thriving, we are pleased to celebrate the return to dining and welcome customers back to Harrods for the unparalleled retail experience that we are celebrated for. We take pride in the dining experience that we offer at Harrods and through our partnership with SevenRooms, we are able to elevate this even further and tailor our customers’ individual experiences to suit their personal preferences. It’s this level of exceptional attention to detail and customer service that is so unique to Harrods that ensures our customers get the most out of their visits and return time and time again.”

Danilo Mangano, Managing Director, International at SevenRooms, says: “Harrods is known and recognised across the world for its top-notch customer experience and highly personalised service, reimagining retail to encompass so much more than shopping. We are thrilled to work with a brand with such rich heritage, whose roots are firmly entrenched in British culture, to help elevate its first-class customer experiences.

In this increasingly digital, e-commerce-focused environment, retailers are turning to food and beverage (F&B) to create holistic experiences for their shoppers that capture demand from digital channels and bring the guest into their brick-and-mortar spaces. A shopping trip today is so much more than just a one-hour wander around a department store. It has become a full day excursion in its own right, combining a traditional retail experience with reimagined food and beverage concepts at every turn. Harrods is solidifying itself as an industry leader by adopting new F&B technology like SevenRooms that helps them leverage approved data to exceed the expectations of their guests on every visit, across every restaurant or bar.

Consumers are craving experiences now more than ever, but the ‘experience economy’ has evolved. Today’s consumers want experiences that are unique, personalized and engaging — not mass produced. SevenRooms’ data-driven, guest-centric platform empowers each member of staff to bring the very best of Harrods to each and every customer, creating memorable visits that drive loyalty that lasts a lifetime.”

SevenRooms powers 14 of Harrods’ food and beverage properties including:

The menu comprises a clever combination of hearty, locally-sourced foods from the best possible suppliers, all expertly prepared and layered with delicate flavours for added texture and depth. Each mouthful promises to be as exciting as the next.

Kerridge’s Fish & Chips – Fish and chips are an enduring staple of British cuisine. For young and old alike, the familiar flavours and aromas offer comfort, satisfaction and nostalgia. Now, the nation’s favourite dish is being elevated to new heights in a way only Harrods could offer, via celebrated chef Tom Kerridge and his newest restaurant in the Dining Hall: Kerridge’s Fish & Chips.

Gordon Ramsay Burger – A taste of America, without the trans-Atlantic trip; the first Gordon Ramsay Burger restaurant outside of Las Vegas has touched down in Knightsbridge, and as you’d expect from Michelin-starred chef Gordon Ramsay, these are not your average quarter-pounders.

Baccarat Bar – Expect nothing less than pure escapism from this Lower Ground Floor hideaway. Dazzling and seductive, the space – accessible through a private entrance on Hans Crescent – fuses Harrods glamour with Baccarat’s legendary craftsmanship; sparkling chandeliers illuminate the world-class bar, while the French crystal expert’s signature rouge glows care of plush velvet and leather banquettes. Consider this London’s new late-night destination for awe-inspiring cocktails – each one designed by award-winning bar manager Cameron Attfield. And all served in Baccarat crystal.

The Tiffany Blue Box Café – Modern-day Holly Golightlys can enjoy their flat whites from Tiffany-blue cups, surrounded by Tiffany jewels, amazonite stone features and hand-painted Tiffany motifs.

Kama by Vineet – Vineet Bhatia, the first Indian chef to helm a Michelin-starred restaurant, invites you to discover the flavours of his home country, with dishes inspired by the nation’s myriad culinary traditions. Indulge in a selection of sharing plates and bowls, including samosa chickpea chaat, pistachio lamb chops and butter chicken, best enjoyed with freshly baked naan and perfect biryani.

The Grill – Experience the thrill of the grill at this must-try destination for meat-lovers. Every cut on the menu – all straight from our butcher – is hand-picked from the very finest producers and cooked to order on a charcoal grill.

The Sushi Bar – With head chef Eran Low – a sushi master with more than 20 years experience – at the helm, the restaurant promises a fantastically wide range of fish and seafood served with a few signature twists. As well as specialty nigiri and sashimi, menu highlights include kabayaki of eel with foie gras, tiger-prawn tempura with caviar, and tataki of Wagyu beef.

Pasta Evangelists – As part of their mission to bring a taste of Italy to London, Pasta Evangelists opened their first fresh pasta counter in Harrods over three years ago. Now, they’re going one step further, embarking on their first restaurant venture in our very own Dining Hall.

The Harrods Tea Rooms – Choose from cream tea or high tea, and settle in for a tiered selection of mouth watering treats, from delicate finger sandwiches and freshly baked scones to picture-perfect patisserie. As, for Harrods, it all started with tea, it should come as no surprise that our selection is among the best in the world: Earl Grey, Hawaiian Black, Arishan Tai Milky Oolong, Superior Sencha – these are all yours to enjoy beneath the Art Deco skylight, entertained by live piano music.

Perrier-Jouët Champagne Terrace – Now open with an extended outdoor area, the Perrier-Jouët Champagne Terrace is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of Champagne in a relaxed and elegant setting. Classic cuvées, Champagne cocktails, mocktails, spritzers and more, all available alongside a range of delicious nibbles – and while overlooking the Knightsbridge skyline.

Chai Wu – Adding a luxury spin to the best of pan-Asian cuisine, Chai Wu boasts a menu that is bursting with flavours, textures and colours. Taking inspiration from the five elements of Chinese philosophy – wood, metal, water, earth and fire – the restaurant provides a warm fine-dining experience, while the open kitchen allows guests a glimpse into the intricacies of pan-Asian cooking.

Café Juliette – London’s first rosé bar, Café Juliette, is open just in time for summer. Prepare to be whisked away to a French bistro, where the wine is flowing, the pâtisserie is irresistible and the atmosphere is très chic.

Caviar House & Prunier – The central hub of the Dining Hall, Caviar House & Prunier is the place to see and be seen in this truly atmospheric room. Take a seat beneath the Grade II-listed tiles and indulge in the world’s finest seafood, from Norwegian Balik smoked salmon and beluga caviar to English rock oysters.
