Here’s what we’ve been working on at SevenRooms over the past month:
4 Updates Across Web and Mobile
1. Now, You Can Clone Shift & Access Rules
The days of having to add new shifts and access rules from scratch were time-consuming.
But now, they’re over.
In addition to editing or deleting a shift or access rule, you can now choose to “Clone.”
Here’s what it looks like:
When you clone a shift or access rule, we carry over settings like days of week, time, interval, seating areas, capacity, and payment policy for you — so you don’t have to on your own.
Two quick things to note:
- Because you are cloning for a new placement, you will add date yourself. It will not carry over from the shift or access rule that you are cloning.
- The clone you create will have “Copy of” at the beginning of the rule name. You will need to edit this to a new name.
2. You Can Now Customize Your Cancellation Policy
Before, your cancellation policy was the same for every shift and access rule that required a credit card.
Now, it doesn’t have to be. We’ve added the ability to customize it.
Similar to how you can edit a booking policy for any shift or access rule, now you can customize the cancellation policy for any rule with a credit card involved.
Use Case: Let’s say you require credit cards for normal reservations but allow cancellations up to 24 hours in advance, after which you auto-charge a late cancellation fee. But for the holidays, you only allow cancellations up to 72 hours in advance. You can now create and display different policies for each.
3. We Launched a Google Integration!
Truth: Your guests are googling you to find more about your menu, your ambiance, and your availability.
News: We integrated with Google! So that when your guests search for you, they can search for — and book — a table without ever leaving Search or Maps.
4. Mobile 4.0 Went Live
This month, we released 7 features to save our users time every day.
All you need to do is update your SevenRooms app in the app store.
Want your iOS apps to update on their own? Go into your iPhone or iPad Settings > iTunes & App Store > Updates. Toggle the “Updates” to ON.
That's all for now!
