Craving personalization, diners warm up to new technologies

Consumers expect technology to enhance the way they live their lives, and dining out is no different. But how can restaurants implement new technology in a way that complements, rather than overwhelms, the diner?  

SevenRooms’ recently released study, Diners of the Future, aimed to answer that critical question. The study revealed that today’s guests expect personalization in their dining out experience, and understand that technology is key to the execution, but want it applied with an almost invisible touch.

Research Methodology

SevenRooms commissioned YouGov PLC – a third party, professional research and consulting organization – to poll the views of 1,108 individuals who agreed to take part. Fieldwork was undertaken online between April 3-4, 2018. The figures have been weighted and are representative of all US adults (aged 18+).
